One of college football’s all-time rivalries will be center-stage on Saturday, October 4. Florida State and Miami will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and be featured as ABC’s national game of the week.

At the time of the network designation, Florida State was ranked No. 8 in both major college football polls. The Seminoles travel to Charlottesville, Va. Friday night to take on Virginia in their ACC opener (7 p.m. ET, ESPN).

After holding off in-state rival Florida, the No. 2-ranked Miami Hurricanes are idle this week.

Should FSU emerge with an ACC victory over the Cavaliers, a top-10 matchup of the Seminoles and Hurricanes is assured. With some help from other results, both teams could be in the nation’s top five.
