Couple big storylines in Georgia recruiting over the last twenty-four hours (aside from a ton of Marcus Washington news) you may have missed if you weren’t paying attention.

Let’s get you up to speed.

Georgia make top eight for four-star WR Andy Jean

We touched on Andy Jean‘s relationship with the Bulldogs on Sunday, and now, the highly-rated receiver has trimmed his list down to eight options.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Penn State, Pitt, and Texas A&M made the cut for Jean, who is currently considered a favorite to land with the Gators according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The Dawgs clearly have his attention as well, however.

“My interest in Georgia was always high. I love Georgia. They’ve always been a top school, and it’s still in my top schools right now. It’s a great place being there at Georgia,” Jean told BamaOn3’s Joseph Hastings. “Georgia is a great school, and I love the atmosphere. They’re one of the schools in my top options. There’s great energy. I’ve been there twice already, and since they’ve won the Natty, a lot of things have changed. The facilities have changed and are new. It just feels great over there.”

Rico Flores gearing up for Notre Dame

The Dawgs were already in the final three for four-star receiver Rico Flores with a decision date set for July 3, but he offered up a little further insight on them to Chad Simmons:

“Georgia grinds, they work hard, they get after it, and it shows. They have great players and work hard for everything they get.”

Currently, the Fighting Irish hold a 96.8-percent chance of signing Flores when the time comes per the On3 RPM.

Georgia remains in Tony Mitchell’s list of favorites

Georgia has long been a factor for five-star safety Tony Mitchell, and while he’s updated the list, the presence of the Bulldogs remains consistent:

“I’ve had a good relationship with Georgia’s coaching staff since I got the offer from them in the eighth grade,” Mitchell told On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “Coach (Kirby) Smart is a good head coach. They’ve always been good and competing for the College Football Playoffs each year. They know what it takes to develop. They just had the most defensive players drafted ever.”

Dawgs put out new running back offer in 2023

Four-star running back Roderick Robinson of San Diego’s Lincoln High School tweeted out the news that Georgia has entered the race for his services on Tuesday.

He’s previously named a top six with Oregon, Arizona, Auburn, Cal, Tennessee, and UCLA making the cut.
