Given that he's the cornerstone of his recruiting class, the letter is/was a mere formality, but it's a big moment for him all the same.
Also, I would like one of those for blogging. Keep that in mind, Matt. You can even leave most of the text:
"We have completed a thorough evaluation of you as a writer. We sincerely believe you have the talent necessary..." Way more official.
