WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have more recruiting news for you.

That starts with Riverview (Fla.) Sumner three-star receiver Tyler Williams. He took a Miami visit yesterday and we have your update with him and where things stand.

Another update: Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star cornerback Gregory “Zae” Thomas Jr. was joined by his father on a recent Canes visit and shares where things stand now. So be sure to check that out.

Plus Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, an FSU commit, is going to be taking a Miami official visit. We catch up with him for where things stand.

And we have an update with Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall Episcopal School four-star 2025 cornerback Onis Konanbanny. He hasn’t locked in a Miami official visit just yet, but the No. 310 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking wants to be in Coral Gables this summer.

Miami also will start its series with North Carolina in baseball tonight, so stay tuned for that.

As always, stay tuned today for any other news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

My thoughts on if this team can be elite … Posted by Schnellys stache

I think this team is pretty close but I am very concerned about the Safeties and CBs. Powell and Vandy guy just don’t make me feel comfortable. Maybe I’ll think differently after spring. I’m honestly hoping Zaquan and the big kid from last year recruiting are good enough to take those safety roles over but I don’t trust RS FR or FR either. At CB we are just OK, Porter is overrated, he ok but nothing near lockdown. Brown is young and we have no depth.

Everywhere else I’m pretty comfortable with our personnel but would like a dominant WR which will help X/George excel even more

“That’s going to change with how (Mario) Cristobal has the program running. It’s going to be guys every year going in the first and second rounds.”
