Michigan State will welcome another important unofficial visit this spring as three-star offensive lineman Brock Heath, of Overland Park (KS) Blue Valley Northwest High makes his way to East Lansing on April 6. The Spartans and offensive line coach Jim Michalczik offered the lineman back in January as he visited the school.

Heath (6-5, 260) is ranked the No. 574 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked the No. 40 interior lineman and the No. 8 recruit in Kansas. On3 ranks Heath a four-star, the No. 278 overall recruit in his class and the No. 18 interior lineman.

The lineman holds offers from Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Utah, Minnesota, and others. Heath tells SpartanMag.com he has also planned visits to Iowa (March 23), Wisconsin (April 4), and Northwestern (April 5) in addition to the trip to Michigan State.

Michalczik stressed the importance of the offensive line in their offense, especially a line with athleticism. The aggressive style of Heath’s play stands out to college coaches.

“I think he really likes guys who are just big athletes,” Heath said. “They run a very pro-style offense and that calls for guys who can get out in space and make plays and make some harder blocks. So I just think he saw my athleticism and how well I can use my feet. I also feel like every coach tends to notice how hard and mean I play.”

Michigan State has always been a school to catch the high school offensive lineman’s eye, making the offer an impressive one to earn.

“I’ve always thought Michigan State was a cool school,” Heath said. “I guess it’s just kind of the aura around the whole university, whether it’s being a school that can compete in any and every sport or having that renowned green Spartan logo. I don’t really know what it is, I’ve just always thought they were a cool school.”

As of now, Heath is just the second offensive lineman scheduled on the SpartanMag.com spring visitor list, which can be found HERE. Michigan State will also host unranked tackle Nolan Davenport of Massillon (OH) Washington High.

Michigan State and Michalczik have also offered legacy Spartan interior offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn in the class of 2025, along with four-star teammate of Heath, Andrew Babalola of Overland Park (KS), and Michael Carroll of Doylesburg (PA), among others since arriving in East Lansing.

The Spartans will also welcome three-star interior lineman Houston Kaahaaina-Torres for an official visit on June 7. He tells SpartanMag.com he is also hoping to add a spring visit to East Lansing to his trip itinerary.
