On3 released its final ranking update to the class of 2024 cycle on Monday afternoon. Multiple Michigan State commitments saw a drastic change in their rankings with the new On300.

The Michigan State class now sits at the No. 46 overall class in the 2024 Team Recruiting Rankings. Michigan State holds 21 current commitments, as they continue to look to add to the class ahead of the upcoming Feb. 7 signing day.

Of the 21 Spartan commitments, signee and linebacker Brady Preztlaff is rated the highest of the group according to On3. Pretzlaff (6-3, 215) is ranked the No. 142 overall recruit, the No. 9 linebacker and the No. 2 recruit in Michigan. The four-star was set to sign with Minnesota before Jonathan Smith and defensive coordinator Joe Rossi convinced him to stay in state for college. Pretzlaff is currently on campus as an early enrollee adjusting to life on campus as a freshman.

On3 is also higher on offensive tackle signee, Payton Stewart, than the other recruiting services, the only one to rank him a four-star. Stewart (6-7, 270) is ranked the No. 286 overall recruit, the No. 25 offensive tackle, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Washington. Stewart will enroll in East Lansing in the summer.

Wide receiver commitment Nick Marsh fell out of the On300, still holding four-star status. Marsh (6-3, 200) is an early enrollee as well, already in East Lansing preparing for his freshman season. The four-star receiver is still ranked the highest Michigan State commitment in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.

The Spartan class ranks as the No. 13 recruiting class in the new Big Ten. Oregon ands Michigan lead the way with the highest rated classes at the moment. Michigan State sits above schools such as Northwestern, UCLA, Indiana, Maryland, and Washington in the rankings.
