Wolverine TV: Q&A with Top 100 Michigan OL target Michael Carroll
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland recently sat down with Top 100 Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East offensive lineman Michael Carroll to get his thoughts on Michigan and more.

Carroll Recruitment
Carroll picked up a Michigan offer last summer and has been to campus three times for unofficial visits, including for the game against Ohio State last November.
Carroll had a blast in The Big House and enjoyed watching the Wolverines take down their biggest rival.
“The visit was amazing,” Carroll said. “By far my favorite of the year. I really enjoyed seeing the brotherhood and fight Michigan plays with. It seems like they all play for each other instead of playing for individual accomplishments. I loved seeing the team and whole stadium rally behind Zak Zinter when he, unfortunately, got hurt. Being able to talk with Coach (Sherrone) Moore during the visit was also one of my favorite parts, and then, of course, that game winning interception.”
Carroll is set to make another unofficial visit to Michigan on March 30 and will return to campus for his official visit on June 21.
New Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome is making him a top overall priority this cycle, and the two are developing a strong relationship.
“Coach Newsome is really intelligent,” Carroll said. “He’s really young and is still that high up at Michigan. We have a great relationship. We watch a lot of film together on Michigan and the pros. He cares a lot and focuses a lot on the little things like technique and hand placement. Just being the best offensive lineman you can be.”
Along with Michigan, Carroll holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and others.
At 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, Carroll is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and No. 69 overall prospect nationally, per On3.
Michigan has the lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 33.0 percent chance of landing him. Penn State is in second place with a 24.8 percent chance of landing him.
Michigan has three verbal commitments in its 2025 recruiting class in On300 Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot quarterback Carter Smith, On300 Howell (Mich.) High defensive lineman Bobby Kanka and three-star Alcoa (Tenn.) High tight end Eli Owens. The class is ranked No. 17 nationally, per the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings.
