Oklahoma’s class of 2025 is off to a huge start with 10 commitments already in the boat for the Sooners. And with two junior days already in the books the groundwork has been laid for more. One of the highest-ranked visitors to hit Norman the past few weeks is Galveston (Texas) Ball five-star defender Jonah Williams.

WIliams has been big on the Sooners since early in the process, led largely by Brandon Hall. He spoke with SCOOPHD about his feelings on Oklahoma during the season.

“Coach Hall is a great coach. He trains safeties very well, when it comes to baiting quarterbacks, playing coverage, just disguising stuff. I’d say he’s a great coach,” Williams said in late October.

And now that he has completed his third visit to Norman since last summer there is a feeling that the Sooners are in strong shape. So much so that SoonerScoop.com’s recruiting editor Josh McCuistion has put in a prediction for Oklahoma to land the On3 Industry’s No. 13 overall player in the country.

Williams, who holds offers from Texas, Ohio State, LSU, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ole Miss, and USC amongst many others, says that it’s not just a strong bond with the staff that has resonated with him. In fact it’s the staffs very forthright faith that has also connected for him.

“They are a big school, they are big priority for me. I have a great relationship with all the coaches. We all talk about God. That’s my No. 1, God, keep faith in God,” he has explained.
