“Recruitment is done,” Wesley said. “I know where I’m going. Go Longhorns 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽.”

Wesley recently told Rival’s Adam Gormey why Texas was the right choice for him.

“I felt the decision was the best of both worlds,” Wesley said. “I get to play in the SEC but I also get to walk out with a good degree. God forbid, football is not forever, so if I do get hurt in the long run I’ll still walk out with something good.

“My goal is to win the natty. I’m hoping to win a state championship in my high school season and I want to win one in my college season so it’s great knowing that my team is going to be very elite when I get there and I’m going to continue the legacy.”

Wesley is ranked as the No. 19 overall prospect, the No. 3 EDGE, and the No. 3 player in California in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Wesley as the No. 24 overall prospect, the No. 7 EDGE, and the No. 4 player in California.

Wesley was committed to Oregon but broke his pledge on May 27. He committed to Texas on June 22.

Other defensive line commits in Texas’ 2026 class include James Johnson, Vodney Cleveland, Corey Wells, and Dylan Berymon. Texas currently has 21 total commits.
