Texas extends three out-of-state offers to 2025, 2026 prospects on Thursday

The Texas Longhorns staff hit the road on Thursday in search of its newest targets. Three new prospects picked up UT offers, two of which are committed to Power 5 programs.

Chris Ewald Jr, DB, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna – Michigan commit

The 5-foot-11, 161-pound On3 four-star and Michigan commit picked up his Texas offer today after UT staffers made their way through Miami today.

Ewald is the No. 86 overall prospect and No. 8 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 17 player in Florida.

The blue-chip defensive back picked Michigan over Miami and Penn State. While the Hurricanes are pushing hard, Ewald appreciated the relationships he made with the Wolverines staff in Ann Arbor.

Armondo Blount, DL, Miami (Fla.) Miami Central – Miami commit

Texas extended an offer to the 6-foot-3.5, 250-pound On3 No. 2 defensive lineman in the Class of 2025 on Thursday.

After dropping his top schools list on September 12th, he pledged to the hometown Hurricanes two days later on September 14th.

The No. 4 overall prospect, No. 2 DL and No. 1 player in Florida for the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking also holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, Florida State, and LSU.

Blaine Bradford, DB, Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic – 2026

Texas was in the Pelican State when they offered the rising safety from Da Boot on Thursday. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound On3 Industry Ranking four-star is considered the No. 1 prospect in Louisiana for 2026.

Bradford holds offers from LSU, Notre Dame, Florida State, Penn State, Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and USC.
