Texas Longhorns commits still in the playoffs
As No. 20 Texas begins to prepare for its bowl game, the Longhorns’ classes of 2023 and 2024 still have prospects playing in early December. Here’s the latest on who is still going and who they’ll face this weekend.

DeSoto (Texas) High (11-2) – WR Johntay Cook II & RB Tre Wisner
12/2 vs Harker Heights (12-1) (streaming link $)
The UT commit duo face Harker Heights (12-1) and fellow Texas commit Jaydon Chatman in an upcoming matchup. Cook plans on enrolling at Texas in January.
Mansfield (Texas) Timberview (13-0) – IOL Andre Cojoe
12/2 vs Longview (13-0) (streaming link $)
The On3 four-star and UT pledge plans to enroll early at Texas.
Killeen (Texas) Harker Heights (12-1) – OT Jaydon Chatman
12/2 vs Desoto (11-2) (streaming link $)
The On3 four-star offensive lineman is set to arrive in Austin on January 6th, he tells Inside Texas.
Melissa (Texas) High (11-2) – OT Trevor Goosby
12/2 vs Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff (10-3) (streaming link $)
Goosby is the only UT offensive line pledge not enrolling early. He’ll arrive in June.
Austin (Texas) Westlake (13-0) – EDGE Colton Vasek
12/2 vs San Antonio Brennan (12-1) (streaming link $)
The Chaparrals (13-0) are the three-time defending state champions and face San Antonio Brennan (12-1) on Saturday.
Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff (10-3) – CB Malik Muhammad & EDGE Billy Walton
12/2 vs Melissa (11-2) (streaming link $)
The Golden Bears (10-3) are taking on Melissa (11-2) and Texas pledge Trevor Goosby in the playoffs on Friday. Muhammad will enroll early in Austin in January.
