Over the next few weeks, the Heisman Trophy picture is going to come fully into focus. The calendar is flipping to November, and there will be opportunities for the best players in college football to secure their tickets to New York.

Ahead of Week 10, it’s still a crowded group atop the Heisman Trophy odds board, according to BetMGM.

Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. once again tops the list, closely followed by Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy. LSU’s Jayden Daniels is also in the conversation amid his special season, and he’s making quite the push to win the award.

A huge reason why Washington is atop the Pac-12 standings, Michael Penix Jr. is in the midst of another huge season with the Huskies. After a rough showing against Arizona State, he bounced back well against Stanford.

Penix completed 21 of 37 passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns as he looked like his old self once again. He’s now gearing up for a high-profile matchup this week against reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and USC.

After a bye week last week, J.J. McCarthy dropped a spot on the Heisman Trophy odds board amid Penix’s strong day. The Michigan quarterback still has proven he’s worthy of consideration for the award and is on track for a trip to the ceremony.

McCarthy ranks second in the nation with a 78.1% completion percentage, just 0.2% behind Bo Nix. He also is one of the best dual threats in the nation, and he’ll have a chance to make even more of a statement as the schedule ramps up in November.

Although LSU has two losses this season, that doesn’t take away from the special year Jayden Daniels is having. He’s been skyrocketing up the Heisman Trophy odds board, and On3’s panel of experts think he’s squarely in the conversation to win the award.

Daniels is also a proven dual threat who wreaks havoc on opposing defenses with both his arm and his legs. His 386.8 total yards of offense per game leads the country, and he’ll take to the big stage this week when LSU takes on Alabama.

Bo Nix, QB, Oregon — +600

Through the first half of the year, Bo Nix has been nothing short of consistent for Oregon. His 78.3% completion percentage is the best in the FBS, and even in the loss to Washington, he looked like someone primed for a run to the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Nix is averaging 292.1 passing yards per game and has 21 passing touchdowns to his name, as well, as part of another impressive season. He not only has the Ducks in the conversation for a high ranking, but also in the mix for the Pac-12 title entering this week’s game against Cal.

Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State — +800

The leader of Florida State’s high-powered offense, Jordan Travis has been toward the top of the Heisman Trophy odds board all year. He had a huge game last week against Wake Forest, as well, as he tries to make his case.

Travis completed 22 of 35 passes for 359 yards and three touchdowns to lead FSU to the 41-16 victory to remain undefeated in ACC play. With two conference games left, the Seminoles are knocking on the door of a conference championship appearance if they keep their foot on the gas.

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State — +1300

A sure-fire top pick in the NFL Draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. has been the biggest key for the Ohio State offense and turns in highlight-reel plays week after week. He’s Kyle McCord’s top target, and his 111.1 receiving yards per game leads the Big Ten by a wide margin.

Harrison didn’t slow down at all last week against Wisconsin, hauling in six receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns. He could also make a strong case for the Heisman Trophy, and his steady climb up the odds board show just that.

Other Heisman Trophy contenders ahead of Week 10

Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oklahoma — +2500
Carson Beck, QB, Georgia — +3000
Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia — +3000
Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado — +5000
