Takeaways from West Virginia’s snap counts
West Virginia played one quarterback for the fourth consecutive game as Fox has played exclusively over the past three games. The Mountaineers did get another wide receiver in the rotation to up that number to six but continued to play five offensive linemen, three running backs and three tight ends.
On defense, the Mountaineers played 23 total players, with the groupings remaining consistent with the past few games. Some injuries had an impact on some players seeing the field, but West Virginia has developed rotations at each of the spots.
