Takeaways from West Virginia’s snap counts
West Virginia played one quarterback for the second consecutive game. The Mountaineers trimmed down on the rotations on offense once again with just 18 other players seeing the field. That included three running backs, six wide receivers, three tight ends and six offensive linemen.
On defense, the Mountaineers played many of the same players from the last game with several additions back into the mix such as Russell and Robinson. The safeties and cornerbacks have started to thin out with players seeing around the same reps weekly and the same can be said at linebacker.
