Trevin Jirak has improved his strength and mobility.

Trevin Jirak grew up a huge Hawkeye fan. He dreamed of playing for Iowa and when Ben McCollum got the job as the head coach of the Hawkeyes, he quickly flipped Jirak from Northern Iowa to Iowa and the work began to get the big man into Big Ten shape.

For Jirak that meant working to get stronger in his upper and lower body, improve his level of fitness, and also improve his side to side mobility. Thus far the results are pretty impressive. Jirak reports that he is stronger and more mobile than when he arrived at Iowa this summer and that continues to improve. He’s also developed a three point shot, which he made twice in a scrimmage this week. He talks about his development and being a Hawkeye at media day.
