Akron's own Chris Livington signs with Cleveland

A familiar name from the John Calipari era has a new NBA home. Former Kentucky forward Chris Livingston has signed a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, announced Friday.
Livingston, a native of Akron, Ohio, returns close to home after spending his first two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. The former five-star recruit appeared in 21 games in each of his first two years in Milwaukee, totaling 42 games for his pro career, with averages of 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in limited minutes.
Livingston was selected 58th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft after one season in Lexington, where he averaged 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Wildcats.

The deal allows Livingston to split time between the Cavaliers and their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, as he works to earn a permanent NBA role in his third season.
Congrats to Livingston on the new deal and moving home.
Livingston in the G League
Livingston had some big G League games for the Wisconsin Herd, including a 35-point, 9-rebound game back in January. He averaged 18 points per game in 11 games for the Herd last year.
