HIGHLIGHTS: Kentucky VB steamrolls No. 2 Texas in historic sweep

Craig Skinner is used to making history in Lexington. This season is no different for the Kentucky Wildcats, who have now tied a school record with three regular season wins against top-five competition, thanks to a 3-0 sweep on the road at No. 2 Texas. That hasn’t been done since 1983 — the only other group to accomplish the feat.
The other victories include a 3-0 sweep at No. 5 Penn State on the night the Nittany Lions raised their 2024 national championship banner in Happy Valley and a gritty 3-2 win at No. 3 Louisville inside the KFC Yum! Center, both back in September. They also have a 3-1 win over No. 10 SMU in Lexington and a 3-1 victory over No. 9 Texas A&M in College Station.
Those five top-10 wins are the second-most in Kentucky history, behind the seven such wins that same 1983 squad pulled off.
