Kentucky a No. 3 seed in ESPN's latest Bracketology

Kentucky has moved up to a No. 3 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology over at ESPN — but they’d have to go West in the second weekend.
Following four consecutive blowout victories, the Wildcats are now the No. 3 seed in the West region of ESPN’s 2022 NCAA Tournament Bracketology, tied for highest in the SEC. Baylor, Kansas, Duke and Gonzaga make up the No. 1 seeds, followed by UCLA, Purdue, Michigan State and Arizona making up the No. 2 seeds. Joining Kentucky among No. 3 seeds? Auburn, USC and Villanova.
The SEC has the second-most bids in college basketball with seven, behind only the Big Ten (eight). Kentucky and Auburn sit at the top as No. 3 seeds, followed by Tennessee (No. 4), Alabama (No. 4), LSU (No. 5), Florida (No. 9) and Mississippi State (No. 10) to round out the conference.

Among other notable names, Ohio State is a No. 4 seed, North Carolina and West Virginia are No. 8 seeds, Indiana is a No. 10 seed, Louisville is a No. 11 seed and Murray State and Iona are No. 12 seeds.
Kentucky’s path to the Final Four would include an opening-round matchup in Pittsburgh vs. No. 14 Liberty, followed by a potential head-to-head battle with Kofi Cockburn and No. 6 seed Illinois in the Round of 32. UK would then travel to San Francisco for the West Regional, with potential matchups against No. 2 Arizona and No. 1 Gonzaga on the table in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight, respectively.
