The Tyran Stokes recruitment saga continues. Now, the No. 1-ranked prospect is down to three schools.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound small forward from Notre Dame (Louisville, KY) announced on Saturday that he’s down to a final three of Kentucky, Kansas, and Oregon. He cut USC and Louisville from his previous list.

Stokes has taken official visits to all three schools. Kentucky is considered the favorite, according to most experts.

Tyran Stokes’ Game

Sherman Oaks (California) Notre Dame five-star small forward Tyran Stokes is the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Stokes as the No. 1 overall player in the nation.

Stokes has been playing high school football at Notre Dame High School this fall. KSR+ recently talked to his high school football coach, Evan Yabu, to break down his game.

“There’s a reason he’s the No. 1-rated basketball player in the country,” Yabu said. “It’s not because he’s tall and big. It’s because he’s adaptable, smart, very aware, and he’s an elite listener. He’s an extremely fast learner.”
