Missisisppi State offensive lineman Jesse Ramil to enter transfer portal
The spring transfer portal window officially opened on Wednesday and as expected, Mississippi State’s roster is starting to reflect those changes. On the first day, Mississippi State offensive lineman Jesse Ramil has entered the transfer portal, per On3 sources.
The 6-foot-5 and 295-pound Ramil just arrived at Mississippi State in January after transferring from James Madison. It was Ramil’s first and only spring in Starkville and per media observations, he was working at both guard and tackle in practice under offensive line coach Phil Loadholt.
Ramil began his college career at St. Frances in the FCS ranks where he spent three seasons and had 13 career starts. After the 2023 season at St. Frances, Ramil opted to transfer to James Madison where he spent one season and started 12 games at left tackle for James Madison.

Ramil initially committed and signed with Mississippi State last December and his younger brother – 2026 edge prospect Peter Ramil of Thompson (Ala.) High School – has a Mississippi State offer.
Ramil was one of several transfer offensive lineman signed by Mississippi State this offseason. The Bulldogs have also been very active with offensive linemen currently in the transfer portal, which includes North Alabama transfer Mickel Clay and Charlotte transfer Jordan Herman, and both of those guys officially visited Mississippi State recently.
