The Sooners are knee-deep in recruiting for the class of 2024 but a lot of this week’s board chat focused on the 2023 season. With that in mind, is Oklahoma’s defensive line ready to take a big step forward under Todd Bates and Miguel Chavis? Furthermore, do the Sooners have the individual talent to climb to the top of the Big 12 all-conference team one last time?

Is it Crazy to Think OU’s DT Room Got a Lot Better in the Last Month?
Josh McCuistion: Phil Paea? Yeah, you’re a little crazy. Sorry, a guy who didn’t do much at Utah State is going to make an impact at OU? I just don’t see that at all.
Now could he be a guy who lines up over a center and keeps him busy? That seems possible but I think OU has others who can do that who bring more elsewhere.
Da’Jon Terry, I think OU may have a pretty useful player there, he kind of fits into that Cole, Kelley, etc. mold. Furthermore, the thing that I heard ALL last year is that OU needs more ‘old guys’ well they’ve got a BOATLOAD of them now.
