Three-star WR Braiden Stevens becomes commitment No. 25 for Minnesota

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have landed their 25th commitment of the 2026 recruiting cycle as Platte County (MO) wide receiver Braiden Stevens announced his decision to be a Gopher on Monday evening.
The former South Dakota State commitment chose the Gophers over offers from James Madison and West Virginia. Both programs previously hosted Stevens for official visits before the Gophers did so this past weekend.
Stevens becomes the third wide receiver commitment for Minnesota this recruiting cycle, joining Hayden Moore (Newberry, FL) and Rico Blassingame (Tolleson Union – AZ).
The 5-foot-10 Stevens possesses potential game-changing speed that could fit both on the outside and within the slot with a forty-yard dash of 4.4 and a career best 100m time of 10.38.
In his first eight games of his senior season, Stevens posted 31 receptions for 702 yards and 13 touchdowns.
“It checked every one of my boxes,” Stevens told Gophers Nation about his decision. “I knew it was home right when I got there. I just felt it.”
