Jeremy Crawshaw selected in sixth round of 2025 NFL Draft

Florida Gators punter Jeremy Crawshaw was taken with last pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Denver Broncos selected him Saturday with the No. 216 overall pick.
Crawshaw spent four years as the Gators starting punter, seeing action in 53 games while at Florida. Over his collegiate career he tabbed numerous spots in the UF record book, sitting at first in career punt average (46.4), third in career punt yards (8,820) and fourth in career punt attempts (190). He also has the 12th longest punt in school history with a 69-yard boot in 2021 against Vanderbilt.
The Emu Plains, Australia native was named to the AP All-SEC Second Team (2023), a Reese’s Senior Bowl All-American (2024), a CFN All-American Honorable Mention (2024) and was a member of the 2021 All-SEC Freshman Team during his time in Gainesville. Off the field, Crawshaw was a five-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll member (2020-2024) and was named a team captain in 2024.
“Jeremy Crawshaw is as good of a human as we have in our locker room,” UF special teams coordinator Joe Houston said. “He’s hard working, he’s very competitive, and he’s a weapon. Very few players on our roster have the opportunity to change the game with 40 plus yards of field position on every attempt they go out on the field, and Jeremy is that guy. He’s a weapon. His statistics from last year speak volumes of the player he is, you don’t lead the conference in net punting on accident. That’s a weapon from a defensive perspective, creating a long field for our opposition’s offense and Jeremy’s got that unique ability to flip the field. He’s a weapon.”

Draft analysis
“A four-year punter for the Gators, Crawshaw flashes good power from a quick delivery but will need to improve his hang time to keep NFL returners from chopping at his net average. He can be highly effective when he’s protected, with touch punts placing opponents near or inside their own 10-yard line.” — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
