2022 Lake Charles College Prep (La.) running back TreVonte’ Citizen told everyone to “tune in” as he makes his college decision on Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT on National Signing Day, he said on Twitter on Monday. LSU is a finalist for the in-state prospect along with Auburn, Florida and Miami.

The in-state Tigers lead the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Citizen. He ranks on the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, as the No. 93 overall prospect, No. 4 running back in America and No. 8 prospect in Louisiana.

For Citizen, he finished in the final On300 as the No. 57 overall prospect in the country and No. 2 running back nationally. His strong season and All-American Bowl showing gave him a boost.

“It is very much a down cycle at running back nationally. With that said, we thought TreVonte’ Citizen has one of the better skill sets at the position,” On3 director of scouting Charles Power explained. “He has an ideal build at 5-foot-11, 220 pounds and plays with a strong base. Citizen is a slasher who excels with his lateral agility and cutback ability. He was playing really well as a senior before going down with an injury.”

LSU set to add to impressive recruiting haul?

LSU is also in contention for some of the nation’s best prospects. All of them are set to announce on National Signing Day as well.

Five-star Ponchatoula (La.) safety Jacoby Mathews, five-star Cy Park (Tex.) linebacker Harold Perkins and Citizen are all huge LSU targets. The coaching staff also had four-star Ft. Bend (Tex.) Hightower wide receiver Caleb Douglas, three-star New Iberia (La.) Westgate tight end Danny Lewis and three-star Waxahachie (Tex.) cornerback Jaelyn Davis-Robinson in for official visits as of late.
