ScoopDuck Roundtable: Score Predictions vs Liberty
It’s not our usual Wednesday routine however we are only a few days out from Oregon’s Fiesta bowl game. Which means its time to offer up our score predictions.
As usual several of us have logged our score predictions for Liberty and Oregon. And it would appear we all think the Ducks should win this one.
Take a look at the predictions below.
Jarrid Denney: Oregon 56, Liberty 17
When Oregon’s Fiesta Bowl opponent was announced, few expected Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, or Brandon Dorlus to partake. All three have every reason to opt out of the game and begin focusing on the NFL Draft. But those three, as well as several other of the Ducks’ star veterans, wanted to make a statement. Don’t be surprised if Oregon keeps its foot on the gas for four quarters and looks to make a statement on New Year’s Day.
Joel Gunderson: Oregon 49, Liberty 21
No Troy Franklin, no Jackson Powers-Johnson… no problem. Oregon isn’t USC, so there’s no worry of an embarrassing G5 loss to end the season. Bo Nix leads the way early, the youngsters shine late, and Dan Lanning notches his 12th win of the season in a game about the future and how insanely bright it looks.

Corpatty: Oregon 42 Liberty 24
I think the Ducks will control this game throughout. However I see coach Lanning playing a lot of guys who haven’t played as much this season. I think that inexperience will keep this game within 3 scores for the Flame.
Jhop: Oregon 56, Liberty 21
Sorry Liberty Biberty, but Bo Nix will have something to prove in this one. With the way Oregon struggled offensively against Washington in the Pac-12 conference championship, I think they will look to fix that ‘fluke.’ Will Stein will be in his bag and this will be a game Oregon should be able to do whatever they want at will. I don’t expect Oregon to punt before the fourth quarter in this one.
