Purdue CB Markevious Brown steps away from team

CB Markevious Brown has stepped away from the team.
The 5-11, 180-pound senior had started all four games in 2024, making nine tackles with a team-high three passes broken up.
A statement from the Purdue football program read: “It is necessary for Markevious Brown to step away from the team at this time. As of today, it is our expectation that he will rejoin the program for the 2025 season. This is a personal matter, and we will have no additional comments.”

Purdue (1-3 overall; 0-1 Big Ten) plays at Wisconsin (2-2; 0-1) today at noon ET (BTN).
