New signee Mac Fitzgerald talks selection for Under Armour All-America game

by: Kevin Stone12/10/25

One of the newest BC commits – and a newly crowned state champ – Mac Fitzgerald was recently named to the Under Armour All-America game.

Fitzgerald (D-line from Catholic Memorial) was a big reason why the Knights hammered Bishop Feehan in the D2 title game. I caught up with him this week to get his thoughts on winning a title, lessons he’ll take with him to BC and representing both the Eagles and the Knights on a big stage:

How did you find out you’d be playing in it? What was your initial reaction?

“I found out I was playing in the all American game by a phone call from Billy Tucker who elects who is in the game. He went to my championship game against Bishop Feehan and liked what he saw so he called me the day after to let me know I’m in. I was pumped up to be an all American after a great season with cm to know that I get to play some more football in a couple weeks.”

What’s it like knowing you’ll be representing both CM and BC on a big stage?

“I am thankful to be representing CM and BC in the game and they are happy that I am representing them and I will make the most of it.”

What’s the biggest thing you’ll take away from CM that you hope to apply at BC?

“I will take leadership and being a good teammate which I learned a lot of throughout my time at CM I will take tough football to BC, which is the culture there already.”

Will you be doing any early enrollee stuff for BC? Or finishing with CM in June and then heading there for the summer?

“I am leaving CM after Christmas break and enrolling at BC this spring.”

What do you hope to get out of the UA appearance?

“I hope to get better at football and soak up what I can learn. I want to compete and have fun.”
