Clemson restocks bullpen with Abby Dunning

The Tigers entered this off-season as they did last, needing to find veteran pitchers to fill lost innings. The now graduated ACC Pitcher of the Year Reese Basinger and Brooke McCubbin accounted for over 80% of the team’s innings in 2025. Clemson made its first transfer portal addition to help fill that void.
Former Boston College ace and All-ACC pitcher Abby Dunning announced her commitment to Clemson. Dunning, who missed most of this season due to injury, had high expectations after a breakout year in 2024. The righty from Burr Ridge, Ill. threw 182 innings with a career-best 2.46 ERA and .207 opposing batting average.
