Reserve OL Noel Portnjagin to enter the Transfer Portal
It’s been a busy offseason of current Florida Gators announcing their intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer portal. The latest name planning to enter their name into the portal once it opens on Jan. 2 is redshirt freshman offensive lineman Noel Portnjagin. He shared the news himself through his X account (previously known as Twitter).
Noel Portnjagin saw limited snaps at Florida
The Florida Gators added Noel Portnjagin in the 2024 recruiting cycle out of Germany. He was a PPI recruit, which is an organization that helps European football players gain exposure and get recruited by colleges. After camping with the previous Florida staff, Portnjagin was offered, and he eventually committed to the Orange and Blue.
Following his enrollment, Portnjagin saw limited snaps in Gainesville. He redshirted in his true freshman season in 2024 and only played 5 snaps in the Gators’ Gasparilla Bowl win over Tulane. He didn’t see any game action this past season in 2025.
Noel Portnjagin was the No. 1060 overall prospect and No. 73-ranked offensive tackle. That is according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted algorithm that compiles all major recruiting media services.
Noel Portnjagin is the 18th Florida Gator scholarship player to announce their intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. Other names with plans to move on from the program include freshman wide receiver Muizz Tounkara, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Aidan Mizell, sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway, redshirt freshman running back KD Daniels, redshirt freshman tight end Amir Jackson, redshirt freshman safety Josiah Davis, redshirt freshman cornerback Teddy Foster, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll, sophomore wide receiver Tank Hawkins, junior linebacker Grayson Howard, redshirt freshman cornerback Jameer Grimsley, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Enoch Wangoy, redshirt wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery, redshirt junior tight end Hayden Hansen, sophomore defensive lineman Michai Boireau, and junior safety Jordan Castell.
