Assistant Ra'Shaad Samples to Remain at Oregon
Oregon fans can breathe a sigh of relief Monday morning with some great news. One of Dan Lanning’s top assistants Ra’Shaad Samples was a target of the Dallas Cowboys for a similar position on the staff. In fact sources tell us Samples was the Cowboys top target for the position but turned down the offer over the weekend.
On Monday Samples seemed to confirm himself on social media he plans on remaining with Oregon.
As most know Samples has been an integral part to Oregon’s recruiting success all over the country. But his deep ties into the state of Texas was a massive piece to Oregon’s landing of five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore and others.
His current listed role at Oregon is assistant head coach and running backs coach. The 30 year old is widely regarded as one of the top up-and-coming coaches in college football.
