Predicting the Pac-12: Week Twelve
Well it’s coming down to the wire for the conference of champions. These next two weeks will be very interesting to see how the chips fall.
Can Oregon hang on and make it to the conference championship? Will it be USC, UCLA, Utah or Washington joining them if so?
We’ll have some clarity after this week with a couple of massive games on tap. Let’s get to the games.
As we enter the week, I’m 45-14 on the season.
Wazzu @ Arizona
11:00 – Pac-12 Networks
A game Wazzu should win doesn’t mean they will. Arizona stunned UCLA last week and might be riding on a high into the week. This will come down to quarterback play IMO. Especially for Wazzu. I think this one will be way closer than we would have guessed a few weeks ago.
38-35 Washington State
Oregon State @ ASU
11:15 – ESPN2
Really curious to see how OSU plays in this one. As the Ducks face them next week. Another game I think will be closer than we expect and I’m even picking ASU to upset. Mostly because I bet OSU has one eye ahead on the Ducks and this has the feel of a vintage trap game for the Beavs.

34-24 ASU
Stanford @ Cal
2:30 Pac-12 Network
The battle for who wants it less in the Bay. I’m going to bet Stanford shows up way more fired up for this one than a dismal Cal team. I also think Justin Wilcox is coaching one of his last games for the Bears. And I think the team senses that. Bad place to be.
28-13 Stanford
USC @ UCLA
5:00 – FOX
Probably the game of the week in the conference. And it’s about time these two stepped up to the plate. The ‘Battle for L.A.’ should be a brawl. But I’ll be honest, this is the kind of game that Chip Kelly thrives in. And it certainly feels like he had one eye on this game last week as the Bruins slipped up against a much lesser Arizona team. This will be the first time I’ve bet against USC since like week three.
44-38 UCLA
Colorado @ Washington
6:00 – Pac-12 Network
Won’t be much of a contest here. At least it shouldn’t be. I think UW will start off slow with some “big game hangover” effect. But ultimately the better team will win out and pull away in the second half.
34-21 Washington
Utah @ Oregon
7:30 – ESPN
You can throw this prediction right out the window if Nix doesn’t play.
39-36 – Oregon
