Following a visit to Arkansas from July 23-24, Palomar College left-handed pitcher Jacob Imoto committed to the Razorbacks on Sunday.

A 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of San Marcos, California, Imoto finished the 2025 season with a 2.45 ERA across 44.0 IP.

In a span of 20 appearances, Imoto notched five saves, 52 strikeouts, 18 walks, 32 hits allowed and just 12 earned runs. Interestingly, he also tallied two hits in six at-bats with an RBI and strikeout.

His longest outing of the year came against San Diego City on April 15, when Imoto tossed five innings with nine punchouts, two walks, five hits allowed and only one earned run.

Perfect Game rated Imoto as the 497th overall lefty and the 538th best player in the state of California in the class of 2024. He also played some first base for Mission Hills High School.

Imoto adds a much-needed left-handed presence in Arkansas’ bullpen, especially with southpaw Parker Coil still hanging in limbo after getting selected in the MLB Draft earlier in July.

Expect Imoto, a soon-to-be sophomore, to sit in the high 80s to low 90s with his fastball and to also show a slider as his primary offspeed pitch.
