LSU gains commitment from Mississippi State transfer Kylee Edwards

The Tigers are reloading. After adding San Diego State pitcher Cece Cellura, LSU gained a commitment from former Mississippi State shortstop Kylee Edwards. The rising junior has started 100-plus at shortstop for the Bulldogs. It’ll make for a strong middle infield duo with incumbent shortstop Avery Hodge, who could move back to second base.
Edwards saw a jump in her offensive numbers as well. Her average jumped from .269 to .290 this past season while seeing an increase in home runs, RBIs and walks. According to our friends at 64Analytics, Edwards was the top available position player from the SEC.
