Pac-12 Pate: Oregon Keeps Rolling
Not only did ESPN Gameday come to Oregon on Saturday, Josh Pate also made the trip.
Who is Josh Pate you might ask? He’s the host of a show that airs on CBS Sports called ‘Late Kick.’ Pate has emerged as one of the top talking heads in the college football space the past few seasons.
However, Pate had yet to make a trek to the West coast in his early career. He doubted the West coast but has returned to Tennessee a new man. Not only did Oregon put on a show, Autzen stadium put on a show as well.
The magic returned to Autzen as I wrote about on Sunday. And there were a lot of eyes there to witness it.
Here are a few quotes from Pate on his 10 (ish) minute segment. It’s pretty clear this probably won’t be his last visit to Eugene.
“What blew me away, was No. 1, you had a crowd a little over 59,000. Forget about the number. Just close your eyes on third down. You couldn’t tell if it was 59,000 or 89,000. Very legitimate.”
“I had never been to the state, the city, the venue. We got recognized everywhere we went. So personally I really appreciate that.”
“Bo Nix is one of the best stories in college football right now.”
