WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes preview UConn
The Hawkeyes are set to face, quite possibly, their toughest test of the entire season on Saturday. On the big stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, playing in the Women’s Champions Classic, 11th-ranked Iowa will go up against the top-ranked UConn Huskies. Not only is it the final non-conference game for the Hawkeyes, but it is their final game before the holiday break.
Head coach Jan Jensen met with the media on Tuesday morning to discuss their upcoming matchup with the top-ranked Huskies. She spoke about her approach to the game as a big underdog, what makes UConn so good, how Wisconsin transfer Serah Williams has fit into their roster and more. The media also got a chance to catch up with freshman center Layla Hays and sophomore guard Chit-Chat Wright.
