Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr., a 6-foot-4, 185-pound sophomore from Mobile, Ala., averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in wins over Texas A&M and at Auburn. He shot 50 percent (14-of-28) from the field, 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from 3-point range, and 88.9 percent (8-of-9) from the free throw stripe on the week. He started the week with 17 points against the Aggies before recording 25 points, six assists, five rebounds and two blocks in a rivalry game against the Tigers. It marked his 14th 20-point game of the season and third time dishing out six assists in conference play.

Otega Oweh, Kentucky

Kentucky guard Otega Oweh, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior from Newark, N.J., averaged 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in wins over Oklahoma and No. 25 Tennessee. Against Oklahoma, Oweh led the team with a season-high-tying 24 points on an efficient 63.6 percent (7-of-11) shooting from the field, while also draining a career-high-tying three 3s. Against Tennessee, Oweh poured in 21 points and snared four rebounds. Oweh has tallied 20 points in nine of 11 SEC games – and five in a row.
