DeShaun Foster‘s squad has gone back to work this week. The Bruins came out on the wrong end of a 43-10 matchup at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. Foster has been adamant that his team is closer to where it wants to be than what the score showed.

Midway through the week, the UCLA head coach feels confident about the response his group has had in practice.

“Guys are practicing like they got a chip on their shoulder,” he said. “Pretty much got a bad taste in their mouth from what happened on Saturday. Hopefully they stay with that feeling and remember how they felt coming off that field.”

The Bruins head to Las Vegas this weekend for a meeting with UNLV. UCLA is deep into its preparations for that matchup, and Foster continues to have respect for what the Rebels bring to the table. That is especially important on offense with Dan Mullen’s squad averaging 38 points through its first two games.

The Rebels are led by quarterback Anthony Colandrea and receiver Jaden Bradley on that side of the ball.

“He’s gonna get targets,” Foster said of Bradley. “They’re gonna make sure they target him and find ways to get him the ball in his hands. He’s a good receiver and you just know that they’re gonna force feed him.”

Bradley has caught 12 passes for 256 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Foster spoke about the demeanor of the team this week following the loss. Plus he provided his thoughts on some decisions made Saturday night plus his outlook for this week’s trip. Watch his full Wednesday media session below:
