Arkansas Razorbacks outfielder Charles Davalan came off of the 2025 MLB Draft board when he was selected with the 41st pick in the continued competitive balance round by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday night.

Davalan was the fourth Arkansas player to be drafted in the first round, a program record, joining RHP Gage Wood, SS Wehiwa Aloy and LHP Zach Root. Davalan was selected as a competitive balance pick right after Root, who went 40th overall to LA.

In his only season with the Razorbacks, the native of Canada was selected to three All-American teams, as well as First-Team All-SEC, after slashing .346/.433/.561 in 269 at-bats with a team-leading 93 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 60 runs batted in while appearing in all of Arkansas’ 65 games with 64 starts, mostly in left field. He also led the Hogs in stolen bases (10) and was second in runs scored (71).

Davalan transferred to Fayetteville from Florida Gulf Coast following the 2024 season. With the Eagles that spring, Davalan slashed .288/.413/.514 in 222 at-bats with 64 hits, 16 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 37 RBI while appearing in 56 games.
