Chris and Kate Malveaux have a lot of work to do this off-season with a large graduating class. Auburn made its first splash with the commitment of transfer Alyssa Hastings. The Lipscomb shortstop hit .413 batting average, 23 doubles – tied for the second-most in the country, eight home runs and 40 RBIs after earning ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2024.

Hastings, a Huntsville, Ala. native, could potentially step into either spot in the middle infield with Rose Roach and Nelia Peralta moving on. She committed five errors with a .972 fielding percentage this past season. Hastings improved both as a hitter and fielder from her freshman season and has two more years of eligibility.
