Warchant TV: Former FSU coach Jimbo Fisher talks Miami memories, state of sport
Depsite ESPN’s flagship pregame show College GameDay opting to set up shop in Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Alabama vs. Vanderbilt game, the ACC Huddle featuring Jimbo Fisher is in Tallahassee to showcase the FSU-Miami showdown.
Following a pre-recorded interview with FSU standout wide receiver Duce Robinson, a player Fisher said reminds him of Seminoles great Kelvin Benjamin, the architect of the 2013 national champion Seminoles discussed the changes on campus and the thrill of the rivalry.
“Kind of surreal,” said Fisher about the feeling of being back on campus. “When I got up this morning, I said, ‘I’m going to a Florida State-Miami game’ and the hair on the back of my neck stood up and I got a little antsy.”
Fisher ran through all eight of the showdowns he helmed for the Seminoles vs. Miami, the state of college football with revenue gaps and offered his thoughts on Saturday’s game.

FSU will continue its ACC slate on Saturday, October 4th in Tallahassee against the Miami Hurricanes. The teams have split their last 10 meetings. Miami has not won in Doak Campbell Stadium since 2019.
The Hurricanes had a bye in week five and come into the contest 4-0 including wins over Notre Dame and Florida.
