Fran McCaffery(20) — Fran McCaffery talks about the win over Washington.

This was win #200 for Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The milestone allowed the Hawkeye head coach to stroll down memory lane to the start of his coaching career decades ago for little pay and that really didn’t matter to him. Today it’s still the same, coaching for the joy of coaching his players and seeing them have success on the court.

Following a hard fought come from behind victory on Saturday afternoon, McCaffery spoke to the media about the wide variety of contributions from players like Payton Sandfort, Carter Kingsbury, and Riley Mulvey. He discusses the way his team has stuck together this season despite a lot of headwinds and he updates injuries and playing time situations.
