Purdue nets commitment from 2026 Florida wide receiver

Purdue offensive coordinator Josh Henson got a new weapon in the 2026 recruiting class today, as the Boilermakers landed a commitment from three-star Miami (Fla.) Central wide receiver Brandon Kinsey. Kinsey was on campus for an official visit over the weekend after being offered by the Boilermakers earlier in June.
Kinsey garnered offers from Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Auburn, UCF, Florida Atlantic, Toledo, South Florida and Florida International, among others, over the course of his recruitment, but his only other known official visit was to Toledo.
The 6-2, 190-pound pass-catcher was a standout as a junior at Miami Central, reeling in 45 passes for 922 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also tallying 54 tackles as a defensive back.

Kinsey is the second wide receiver in Purdue’s 2026 recruiting class, and the second from the Sunshine state. Kinsey joins fellow Floridian and three-star pass catcher Kymistrii Young in the Boilermakers’ class. In addition to Young and Kinsey, Purdue also has three-star Selma (Ala.) Southside tight end ArMari Towns in the class.
Kinsey’s commitment also gives the Boilermakers 14 pledges in the 2026 recruiting class. He joins three-star quarterback Corin Berry, three-star defensive backs Raderrion Daniels, Emoni Smith and Dana Greenhow, three-star linebacker Brayden Sweeney, three-star running back Izaiah Wright, three-star edge Max Carmicle, and offensive linemen James Williams, Brock Brownfield, Terrell Berryhill and Rico Schrieber.
