Razorbacks add Oregon State transfer reliever James DeCremer

Arkansas added to its bullpen Monday with the transfer addition of Oregon State right-handed pitcher James DeCremer.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound redshirt freshman out of Scottsdale, Arizona, appeared in 14 games (three starts) for the Beavers in 2025. In that span, he racked up 30 strikeouts, 11 walks, 34 hits allowed and 17 earned runs in 28.2 innings.
When asked what drew him to Arkansas, DeCremer noted to HawgBeat the coaching staff, his friendships with fellow west-coast natives Gabe Gaeckle and Ryder Helfrick, the facilities, weight room culture and the prospects of winning a national championship next season.
Against USC in the Corvallis Regional during the NCAA Tournament, DeCremer started and tossed five shutout frames with six punchout, two walks and only two hits allowed.
Rated as Perfect Game’s No. 105 player nationally in the class of 2023, DeCremer participated in the 2023 MLB Draft Combine before redshirting his freshman campaign.
Arkansas now has nine portal newcomers following DeCremer’s commitment. For more updates on the Diamond Hogs’ offseason, be sure to follow along at The Trough premium message board.
