Bandits torch Talons, Blaze shut down Volts

Bandits 9, Talons 1
The Bandits torched the top-seeded Talons on Saturday, winning consecutive games for the first time after the break.
Tori Vidales opened the scoring in the first for the Talons, though. Off Bandits starter Odicci Alexander, Vidales crushed an RBI double.
However, against Talons starter Megan Faraimo, Delanie Wisz knotted things up in the second with an RBI double of her own. Then, things unraveled quickly for the Talons in the third.
Morgan Zerkle took the lead with a solo home run, giving the Bandits a one-run edge. Erin Coffel tacked on two more with a blast of her own. After that, Bubba Nickles-Camarena capped off the inning with a second two-run homer off Talons reliever Raelin Chaffin.
The Bandits wasted no time adding insurance, scoring a run in each of the next three innings to run-rule the Talons 9-1. Coffel knocked her third RBI with a single in the fourth. Nickles-Camarena homered again in the fifth and singled in another run in the sixth.

Meanwhile, Alexander tossed four innings of one-run ball and Sarah Willis twirled the final two frames to seal the Bandits’ win.
Blaze 3, Volts 1
The Blaze bounced back with a 3-1 win over the Volts on Saturday. The Blaze had stellar pitching performances from a trio of arms. Rookies Aliyah Binford and Devyn Netz limited the Volts to one run over five innings, and Keilani Ricketts earned the save, tossing four strikeouts in the final two innings.
Facing Volts rookie Sam Landry in the first, Baylee Klingler returned to Seattle with an RBI double off the wall. Klingler’s double put the Blaze up 1-0 quickly. Then, in the third, rookie Ana Gold smacked an RBI double of her own, adding to the Blaze lead.
However, Volts rookie Danieca Coffey responded in the fifth. Coffey’s RBI single was the lone production for the Volts on Saturday. In the next half inning, McKenzie Clark homered to get the run right back. After that, Ricketts came on in relief and shut down the Volts’ offense, sealing the Blaze win.
