Stirtz and Banks help lead Iowa to victory
Bennett Stirtz is the straw that stirs the drink for the Iowa basketball team. Tavion Banks is potentially elevating himself from six man to starter in the Hawkeye lineup. Both shined in the first game of the season. Stirtz scored a team high 19 points and dished out 6 assists, while Banks was right behind him with 17 points and 4 rebounds in Iowa’s dominating win over Robert Morris.
Following the victory, they discussed their performance, the play of the team, the starting lineup, and how this team fed off their defense early in the game on their way to a very comfortable victory.
