Texas Tech sophomore transfer infielder TJ Pompey has committed to Arkansas, he announced Thursday on Instagram.

The 6-foot-4 Coppell, Texas, native played in only 19 games, including 18 starts, for the Red Raiders this season due to injury, but slashed .348/.397/.623 in 69 at-bats with 24 hits, four doubles, five home runs and 15 runs batted in.

In 2024, Pompey earned Freshman All-American honors from Perfect Game and the National College Baseball Writers Association after he started 54 of the 55 games he appeared in and knocked 10 home runs with 49 RBI.

A 2023 Coppell High School graduate, Pompey was rated the nation’s No. 82 overall player by Perfect Game and one of four top-100 signees in his class for Texas Tech.

With Pompey’s addition, the Razorbacks have now added six commitments from the transfer portal this cycle.
