LOOK: Alabama football holds first practice of spring

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — On Monday, the Alabama football team was back on a football field holding its first of 15 spring practices. Nick Saban and the rest of the Crimson Tide had a two-hour session while working in shorts and helmets on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
Alabama Athletics provided some great photos from Monday’s practice, which included several of the new arrivals like tight end C.J. Dippre, wide receiver Jaren Hamilton and defensive lineman James Smith. You also get looks at returning players such as tight end Amari Niblack, defensive lineman Jaheim Oatis and more.

Alabama will return to the field on Wednesday for its second practice of the spring. The media will get to speak with a few of the players that day, too. Stay tuned for coverage of Nick Saban’s first press conference of the spring, which is set for Monday at 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET).
The annual A-Day Game, which is considered Practice No. 15, is set for 2 p.m. CT (3 p.m. ET) on Saturday, April 22 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. That scrimmage is set to air on SEC Network+.
