Four 4-stars set foundation for Auburn's 2027 recruiting class
Chris and Kate Malveaux set the bar high for Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class. The Tigers earned commitments from four-star recruits in pitchers Gisela Boitmann, Hannah Demarcus and infielders Evie Willemssen and Shug Bradford.
Boitmann and Demarcus help bolster the future of Auburn’s pitching staff with Ryker Chason. Boitmann has been a part of the Texas Bombers organization. The lefty has a deep arsenal with both rise and drop.
“Auburn just felt like home,” Boitmann said. “As soon as I walked on campus, I knew I had found something special. The staff and the players were so welcoming, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.”
DeMarcus comes from the right side. The 41st-ranked recruit from Pace High School in Florida plays for the Georgia Impact Premier Taylor squad. DeMarcus said that the family atmosphere and the culture that the Malveauxs are creating from the ground up really stood out to her during her visit.

Bradford is a solid middle infielder who will probably project as a second baseman at the next level. Good hands, good footwork and good game sense. She is a havoc starter offensively, with a knack for finding her way on the bases and turning over a lineup.
“Auburn stood out to me because of the family atmosphere, the strong faith-based culture, and the way the coaches truly believe in developing the players not only as athletes, but as people,” Bradford said. The campus felt like home, and I knew it was the place where I could grow both on and off the field.”
Willemssen crushed home runs all summer, a strong lefty/ lefty first baseman, who can hit for power in the middle of any lineup. Strong athlete with room to continue to grow in her game. Solid defensively at first with good feet around the bag.
