Kentucky adds Central Michigan catcher Carly Sleeman

Kentucky has found a new backstop. Former Central Michigan catcher Carly Sleeman announced her intentions to join the Wildcats for the next two seasons.
Sleeman, a regular in our in-season catcher power rankings, had a breakout season sophomore season. After being a full-time starter as a freshman, Sleeman saw her numbers make a huge jump in 2025. She batted .373 with nine doubles, 17 home runs and drove in 50 runs. She also walked 34 times compared to 19 strikeouts.
According to our friends at 64Analytics, Sleeman had a 90.79 wRC (An estimate of the number of runs a player contributes to their team), which was similar to LSU’s Maci Bergeron and Florida State’s Michaela Edenfield.
