Texas baseball's full 2026 schedule revealed

The Longhorns enter 2026 with plenty of expectations as a top 10-15 preseason squad. The 2026 schedule is now here so let’s take a look at the out of conference teams the Horns will face.

February 13th-24th The Longhorns will start the first eight games of the season at the Disch, and they will be expected to win all of those opening games. Texas previously had an opening trip to San Diego scheduled but Jim Schlossnagle had that changed.

Then we have the Astros Classic in Houston, where Texas will face off against Coastal Carolina, a team coming off a deep tournament run in 2025. Texas will also face Baylor and Ohio State, games they should win. However, if they are sleeping on these teams… they can be upset.

Which takes us to the final stretch before conference play opens up. Texas’ first road game of the season comes in after the first 15 games in 2026. Texas State in a Tuesday matchup will be the Horns’ only away game test before facing Auburn on the road.

No new news here with Ole Miss being the first opponent of conference play. What is new, is that Texas will be headed on the road immediately after the Auburn series. The Longhorns will hardly have 12 to 24 hours in Austin before flying down to Houston.

Late March to early April is where Texas enters the rivalry stretch of the schedule. Starting off with Oklahoma at home and then hosting Texas State as well, there will be some energy to those games. Texas heads back on the road to South Carolina, before returning back home for Incarnate Word.
The Texas A&M game is going to be ROWDY. Remember how the Texas Tech fans treated Chris Beard in his trip to Lubbock? We can reasonably expect the same level of hostility from the Aggie faithful.

Texas will be resuming a series that many were sad to see depart the 2025 schedule. Bringing in the Air Force bunch had seemingly become sort of a tradition, and the fans had bonded with one another. There is so much mutual respect for both programs, and it’s a great thing to see the game return.

This could be the most dangerous stretch on the schedule. Texas could easily go 1-7 depending on how the teams are looking. Tim Corbin, as long as he is around, will have Vandy looking prime, and Mississippi State just saw a ton of talent enter the roster with the hire of Brian O’Connor from Virginia.

Just in case you were curious, yes Texas will have a chance for revenge against UTSA. This game might get a little chippy with the Roadrunners ending the Longhorns season in quite a loud fashion from both the players and the fans. Then Texas will head to the bright orange launching pad known as Lindsey-Nelson Stadium to face Tennessee. The fences are short-short-short-short, and normal warning track flyballs will leave often. A good series to try and break a school record at.

SEC play will be tough, but the overall home schedule that will see 34 home games played at the Disch will certainly get season ticket holders their money’s worth.
